"Where could I go" -- the old song says,

"Where -- but to the Lord"?

The Lord doth save, the Bible says,

Find Him in His Word.

Hear His story, as He tells it,

Friends, be not deceived;

Up to His work -- O do not sit!

Do not just believe.

The devils believe, and tremble,

Friend, be not like they;

No matter how quick or nimble,

Comes the judgment day.

Our God doth give us time down here,

His Will to obey;

On that great day of dread and fear,

The lost hear Him say:

"Depart from me -- I know you not"

Oh, the saddest words;

"Depart from me" to darkest spot,

Oh, accept the Lord!

Our only hope is in His pow'r

In Him we find rest;

He never leaves -- through darkest hour,

Christ -- the blest, the blest
